Product Review: Mountain Dew Throwback

As you may have heard, Pepsi has release Pepsi Throwback and Mountain Dew Throwback, versions of the drinks that make use of natural sugar instead of High Fructose Corn Syrup. You can most likely find ’em now at your local mega-mart (/Alton Brown’d), and I just picked up the Dew Throwback up in our cafeteria at work.

The first thing I noticed when taking a swig was that it didn’t have that ‘burn’ to the same degree as regular ‘MtnDew’. The flavor shows through a bit more, and there seems to be less carbonation to me. The ‘finish’ is better, too, with no metallic tinge – just tastes like Dew.

The only downside is that (for now) this is a limited time deal for the summer.

I honestly wasnt very impressed with the taste of this, thats just my opinon though! It’s great if people like it though. However sometimes things like this grow on me, and for some reason i get a random craving for it even if I didnt like it before. That’s what happened to me with MT. Dew Voltage, and Sushi haha, I really wish they would have put this in glass bottles tho :(

Hey, it won’t please everybody. :) Glass bottles would’ve been sweet, definitely.

I love the new Mountain Dew Throwbacks. Before when I drank one it would hurt my stomach so bad. Me and my husband went to Gatlinburg, TN and I purchased a case for him to try. I had to do a little taste test for myself and I am so happy I drank three of them in a row and it didnt bother my stomach at all. I LOVE THEM!
