The second round NHL playoff matchups are set, thanks to some wild Game 7s last night. Eastern Conference has Boston takingon Carolina starting Friday, with the Canes putting two past Brodeur in the final 1:30 of their game to advance. Yes, Buffalo needs a 2 and 2 (2 points in both games) to keep the scant playoff hopes alive. The Sabres are at Washington for a 7pm start tonight, home for NJ tomorrow night so it’s by no means easy. At least NJ is struggling…that matters, right? NFL

Tim Kennedy signed a two year entry-level deal with the Sabres, adding yet another talent to the new potential AHL team, with a shot to make the big show. The Buffalo native was a 6th round pick of the Caps that the Sabres acquired in a draft day trade. |
