Fantasy Football Update - Picking Up The Pieces
Sep 24, 2008 NFL
It’s been a rough start to the season for me in two of the more serious leagues I’m in. The Buffalo Sports Bloggers league has me dead last at 1-2. My draft picks of guys like Ryan Grant and Matt Hasselbeck have not yet panned out, but hope remains for them. Grant is only now getting healthy, and I think Seattle might be down to their 35th receiver. Oh, and don’t forget Ocho Cinco and the Bungles.
I’m 7 out of 8 in my work league, with the same 1-2 record. Marvin Harrison, Ryan Grant (again) and Steven Jackson have all underachieved. I actually dumped Hasselbeck here (only 4 bench spots and I needed to fill that spot on the bye) and grabbed Kurt Warner.
Can I rebound? Bet your ass I can…I feel I’ve got the bench depth to stay strong through all the bye weeks with guys like Steve Slaton and Jonathon Stewart who can fill in for me. I will be right there at the end for my inevitable first round playoff loss.
