Carcillo VS Dorsett - BADASS
Nov 28, 2008 NHL
Click through to YouTube to see it in High Quality mode. If you like hockey fights at ALL, you owe to yourself to watch this one, despite the teams featured (Columbus and Phoenix). Huge bombs were getting landed by both guys, just when you thought one was taking control, the other would come over the top and start landing. Good job, boys. H/T to Hockeyfights.

Fighting Doesn’t Promote Violence
The Canadian Broadcast Standards Council (are they above the Beef Council in the power rankings for councils? Discuss.) announced, well, here’s their press-release speak:
The CBSC concluded that showing hockey fights during game highlights and updates did not promote or exploit violence.
Basically, some guy complained about a clip of “players punching each other about the head and pulling on each others’ jerseys” and the CBSC took a look. My favorite line in the article is this:
The Panel added that “the reporting of the fighting was matter-of-fact, attracting no greater emphasis than the scoring of the goals or other exciting plays during the game updates.” There was, consequently, no breach of any provisions in the CAB Violence Code.
I guess one of the clips was not this one, or any of the good ones from RJ:
