The Weekend That Was

Saturday night saw the Buffalo Sabres again struggle to score despite piling shots on net one after the other, but still come away with a win. Mike Grier not only scored the winning goal, but should get credit for keeping the team IN the game, as his teammates said after the game that he was telling them to stick with the system, and not lose faith in their abilities. You hope that the scoring will come, since they continue to pelt opposing goaltenders mercilessly, but it sure makes for a nerve-wracking game-watching experience.

Then there are the Bills. I only got to see part of one quarter, but that was enough. At the time they were down 3-0 to a team that had no forward passes. The firings come NOW, right?
