Very Important Question!
Loading ...I’ve been thinking about this, as my son slowly but surely gets exposed to Star Wars thanks to kids at school (and the very fun Lego Star Wars game we have). While I’m probably not showing him these any time soon, this is the sort of thing a geeky dad think about. So what do you think? You can give your reasoning in the comments.
I’m cracking up right now because Mark and I have seriously had this discussion and we don’t even have kids yet! But for the record, he leans toward 1-6 because it’s chronological order. I, however, lean toward 4-6, 1-3. I think seeing the last half first gives the first half what little emotional resonance it managed to work up. But really I just think the Phantom Menace blows chunks and shouldn’t be anyone’s introduction to the Star Wars universe.
I actually skip most of EP 1, save the fight scenes. What insight did meeting annoying little kid Ani give us again?
Gotta go with the classics first.
Hmm, so far it’s a sweep in the voting. Kind of what I expected…it seems so strange that there are going to be people who know before ESB who Luke and Leia’s dad is. That COMPLETELY changes the impact of ESB/ROTJ.
