Not Bad Guys, Now Keep It UpThe Buffalo Sabres have put together a little bit of a run, winning four of their last five including a game against the New Jersey Devils last night. They’ve scored 4 goals in each of the wins, and Patrick Lalime got his second Sabres win last night. Thomas Vanek continues to dominate the league, scoring his 23rd and 24th goals last night to extend his lead in the category. That’s a 65 goal pace according to TSN. I would also like to send a little love out to Toni Lydman. He doesn’t get mentioned a lot, especially with the Tallinder/Lydman pairing broken up, but he’s been playing very well to my eyes. Hank seems to have picked it up recently as well. Kotalik deserves mention as well, we’ve seen him getting his nose dirty about around the crease, a nice change of pace from his normal top-of-the-circle slapshots and one-timers. The boys play the Devils again on Wednesday, we’ll have to see if the lineup changes for any reason (like Kaleta or Rivet returning). As for the Bills…no reason to talk about them now. BARF. |
