Buffalo Police Officer voted America’s Bravest First Responder

On December 5th of last year, Officers Carl Andolina and Patricia Parete responded to a report of a fight at a Buffalo convenience store. They approached a suspect, who opened fire on them at point-blank range. Two bullets hit Parete, one shattering her jawbone lodging in her spine. The second hit her in the vest. Officer Andolina tried to wrestle the gun from the suspect and got shot in the neck. He fought on, putting the guy on the ground until help arrived, taking one more bullet in the process (this one in the arm). Any First Responders out there, you have my everlasting thanks.
